The Skulduggery series is a great series of books for 9+. The characters are well imagined, funny and memorable (despite having complicated names i.e: Valkyrie, Tanith, Dusk ect.) and seem almost real. The dialog is hilarious, witty and over all great, making this a must read. The only fault is occasionally, I found that I wasn't properly taking in what I read.
